FULL DESIGN AND BUILD

Using a clearly defined design process, we will create a design for your garden that reflects your personal style and meets your requirements. We will assist with finding contractors, oversee the construction, source and plant the plants, and provide maintenance advice.

DESIGN ONLY

Where a Full Design and Build package is not required, we can create a design for your garden for you to implement in your own time.

PLANTING DESIGN AND ADVICE

If you are not looking to fully refurbish your garden but would like your borders enhanced, more interest added to your planting, or a particular problem in your garden solved, we can assist you with it.

FULL DESIGN AND BUILD SERVICE

  • Step 1: Initial consultation

    During our initial meeting, we will talk about your expectations and aspirations for your garden, and your interests and habits. You may have photos of gardens and garden features that you like and would like to show to us. If you don’t know exactly what you want, you’ll be able to browse our gallery for inspiration. We’ll also talk about your budget.

    After our meeting, we will send you a summary of our discussion and a quote, which we will ask you to confirm before we proceed.

  • Step 2. Site survey and analysis

    We will produce a topographical survey of your garden. We will also carry out an analysis of the soil type in your garden, record the prevailing wind direction, and identify the areas of sun and shade, and the views to be enhanced or hidden. If your garden is large and multilevel, we will recommend that it is surveyed by a professional landscape surveyor.

  • Step 3. Outline design

    We will prepare a concept plan accompanied by a moodboard showing examples of garden structures, materials, and planting themes. This is the time to make any adjustments to the design and to discuss materials. We will proceed to the next stage when you are happy with the outline design.

  • Step 4. Master plan

    We will produce the Master plan, which is a detailed, annotated garden design plan that includes layout and materials. If necessary, we can produce detailed construction drawings for landscapers.

  • Step 5. Tendering for project build and project monitoring

    On your behalf, we will request quotes from a network of trusted professional landscapers and contractors to build your garden. Alternatively, if you have a contractor you trust, their services can be used. We will monitor the build by visiting the site at regular intervals and at important stages of construction to make sure that the design is implemented correctly and with close attention to detail.

  • Step 6. Planting plan and planting

    We’ll work together to create a planting scheme that you’ll love, that will grow successfully in your garden, and that will require levels of maintenance suitable for you. We’ll factor in every season and create a garden that will be attractive all year round.

    We will source high quality plants from plant nurseries and will plant them for you. Alternatively, if you prefer, we can lay out the plants in your garden according to the plan and leave the planting to you.

  • Step 7. Ongoing care and support

    The completion of construction and planting marks the beginning of your new garden. We will show you how to care for your garden and are happy to provide ongoing support as your garden develops.

This includes a personalized account, set up specifically for your garden with photos and care notes about your plants and monthly care emails. This will help you continue to make the most out of your garden as it grows and develops. You can also request ongoing or periodic visits from us as and when required.
